100 days of prayer
During the autumn we will welcome our new vicar Tim Partridge and his family. Below are some suggestions for prayer as we prepare for a new season in the life of our church family.
22. Pray for our relationship with other evangelical churches - that we would work well in partnership
23. Pray that Tim would never be ‘ashamed of the testimony about our Lord’ but be willing to ‘suffer for the gospel by the power of Gods (2 Timothy 1:8)
24. Pray for ongoing discussions with the diocese about preparing the vicarage to be a suitable family home
25. Pray for St Andrew’s Plymouth as plans Tim’s final Sundays there are made
26. Pray for Bishop Stephen (currently stepped back from ministry), and that there would be provision of godly oversight.
27. Thank God that ‘he saved us because of his own purpose and grace’ (2 Timothy 1:9) and pray that we would be a Church shaped by grace.
28. Pray for our upcoming Bible studies in Judges to help us prepare well for a new leader
29. Pray that the seeds from Kids Venture wouldn’t be snatched away but that we would draw families in
30. Pray for our relationship with the wider Church of England - for faithfulness and courage
31. Thank God that ‘Jesus has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light’ (2 Timothy 1:10) and pray that we would hold onto this gospel in the face of death.
32. Pray for our global action partners to be able to get to know Tim
33. Pray for Tim, Abby and the kids as they visit Wimborne to look at schools
34. Pray for those who are worried about the change of vicar, to trust in God as their shepherd.
35. Pray that Tim would keep ‘the pattern of sound teaching with faith in love in Christ Jesus’ (2 Timothy 1:13)

15. Pray that the work needed on the vicarage would be done after Tim’s meeting with the property manager from the diocese (6th Aug)
16. Pray that the SOUL work among young adults would flourish and for James Corbet as he begins as part-time youth minister
17. Thank God for his work in Tim’s life, bringing him to faith and calling him to serve as a minister
18. Pray that we would be a church that ‘rejoices always, prays continually and gives thanks in all circumstances’ (1 Thess 5:16)
19. Pray for Tim, Abby, and the kids as they chat and pray together about moving.
20. Pray for Tim to ‘fan into flame the gift of God’ and be filled with ‘power, love and self-discipline’ (2 Tim 1:6-7)
21. Thank God for how he worked through Peter’s ministry, and pray for him to be bearing fruit in retirement

8. Pray for Tim and his family as they have been taking part in the Holiday Club at St Andrew’s Plymouth this week
9. Thank God for Kids Venture at St John’s and pray that God would be drawing more young families into the regular life of St John’s
10. Pray for arrangements for Tim’s licensing at St John’s (3rd Nov)
11. Pray for Tim and his family on CPAS Venture Tiverton this week where Tim will doing some of the Bible teaching
12. Pray for Matt as he arranges the services plan for September-December
13. Pray for humility for us as a church family and an openness to God’s will
14. Pray for the pastoral support work at St John’s - for Gillian co-ordinating, and for Tim as he joins the team.

1. Thank God for Tim’s appointment, and for answering our prayers for a godly and faithful pastor.
2. Thank God for the work of our parish reps (Janine, Nigel and Stuart) over the past year, through the ups and downs of the appointment process.
3. Pray for Tim and his family at the Keswick convention this week, for refreshment and encouragement.
4. Pray for St Andrew’s Plymouth as they come to terms with Tim leaving and make plans for the future.
5. Pray for Tim and Abby and the children, as they come to terms with leaving Plymouth after 8 years.
6. Pray for the work to get the vicarage ready for their arrival, that it would be a lovely family home for them.
7. Pray for us all to be looking to Jesus, the true shepherd of the sheep, and trusting in him alone.
