Following Government and Church of England guidelines church services in our building can now take place. Join us in the church at 9am or 11am for our Morning Worship services or at 6.30pm for our Evening Worship Service
Those who wish to remain at home can still join in via our website link or via Facebook. Those attending services in the church building are reminded to comply with the Government and Church of England guidelines.
NHS Track and Trace
From 24 September 2020 as a place of worship we are required to display an official NHS QR code poster, so that members and visitors can ‘check in’ using this option to provide their contact details. If you have the app available on your phone, please scan the code when you enter the church building using the poster displayed in the Foyer. Please could you also continue to provide your contact details on the sign in list or bring a note with your details to put in the basket provided. Full details about the app and how it works can be viewed here.
We are pleased to be able to say that Children’s and Youth Groups are running in a Covid19 Secure framework during our morning services (see our guidance for parents). To help our groups be a safe and welcoming space for children and youth we are asking families to indicate when they will be returning to church by emailing Kevin at firstname.lastname@example.org or Chris at email@example.com.
We are a busy church community with a wide range of services, events and group activities each week throughout the year. More information can be found in the ‘Church Life’ and ‘What’s On’ sections of our website.
Church Family Members receive our St John’s Weekly News each week by email, by post or hand-delivered. Please contact the Church Office if you wish to receive this or click here.
We meet together as a church family on Sundays at 9am, 11am and 6.30pm, where we love to sing God’s praises, pray together, and hear the Bible read and taught, with groups for children and young people to learn more about God and how to live for him every day.
We encourage all of the St John’s church family to reach out to our neighbours and community, sharing the love of Jesus, as well as keeping in contact with each other.
Our doors are open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey, so whether you are just starting to ask questions about God or are a committed Christian wanting to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at St. John’s. We look forward to meeting you soon!
If you’re interested in booking the church for an event, you can check availability by contacting the Church Office on 01202 842255 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
