John 11:1-7 (February 24th)
Read John 11:1-7.
Why can we trust Jesus, even when he delays answering our prayers?
It must have been so confusing for everyone that Jesus delayed two days before going to Lazarus. They knew that he loved Lazarus and his sisters (v5), but they didn’t know the end of the story. It was time for Jesus to show his true glory (v4) - not just healing a sick world, but giving his life to raise a dead world. It is hard for us to keep trusting when Jesus delays answering our prayers. We need to remember that Jesus deeply loves us, and that we don’t know how the story ends.
