John 10:1-10 (February 20th)
Read John 10:1-10.
How can we tell the difference between good and bad leadership?
The shepherd comes through the gate, simply calls the sheep, and because they know his voice, they follow him to find pasture. The thief climbs over the wall and has to chase the sheep to catch them and then drag them over the wall to their destruction. Following the voice of Jesus is the way to life, bad leaders will resort to coercion, manipulation and bullying.

Read: John 10:1-5
Think: Imagine you were a sheep, how could you tell if someone was a thief or the shepherd?
Why is it important? (Read v10).
Pray: that we would follow Jesus’ voice in our lives.
Do: play thief or shepherd. Make one area of the room the sheep pen. One person leaves the ‘sheep pen’ and then comes back in as a thief or a shepherd. If they are a shepherd they should come in normally, and in their normal voice call people by name to come out and have some grass. If they are a thief they should come in a different way, and say ‘come to me sheep’ in a creepy voice - they then chase the sheep who run away!
