Following Government and Church of England guidelines church services in our building can now take place. On Sunday 5 July we re-opened the church for our 10.30am Morning Worship Service. Those who wish to remain at home can still join in via our website link.
Our 6.30pm Evening Worship Services will be available to join via our website only.
We can and will still gather from our homes for worship on Sundays at 10.30am and 6.30pm and with our small groups via social networks. Our pastoral contacting system continues – to help and support our vulnerable members. We encourage all of the St John’s church family to reach out to our neighbours and community, sharing the love of Jesus, as well as keeping in contact with each other.
(Church Wardens’ update letter from the Church Wardens as of Sunday 22 March)
We are a busy church community with a wide range of services, events and group activities each week throughout the year. More information can be found in the ‘Church Life’ and ‘What’s On’ sections of our website, and you can also download a copy of our weekly Noticesheet to keep up to date with news and upcoming events (this is currently not available via the website).
We normally meet together as a church family on Sundays at 9am, 11am and 6.30pm, where we love to sing God’s praises, pray together, and hear the Bible read and taught, with groups for children and young people to learn more about God and how to live for him every day.
Our doors are open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey, so whether you are just starting to ask questions about God or are a committed Christian wanting to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at St. John’s. We look forward to meeting you soon!
If you’re interested in booking the church for an event, you can check availability by contacting the Church Office on 01202 842255 or emailing email@example.com
Church Family Members are receiving a Weekly News each week by email, by post or hand-delivered. Please contact the Church Office if you wish to receive this.
