The Parish of St John’s Wimborne is committed to the safeguarding, care and nurture of children and young people within our church community, and also to encouraging an environment where all people and especially those who may be vulnerable are able to worship and pursue their faith journey with encouragement and in safety.
We are also committed to the Diocese of Salisbury Safeguarding Policy, implementation of the Diocese of Salisbury Safeguarding and Good Practise Guidelines, and the relevant statutory legislation and guidance for the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Every year the PCC will: agree its Policy Statement for the Safeguarding of Children, Young people and Vulnerable Adults, display a copy in the Church, and forward a copy to the Diocesan Safeguarding Office for their records. You can download a copy of the current Policy Statement here.
Our Children, Young people and Vulnerable Adults Safeguarding Representatives are Andrew Morris and Pat Loveless, who can both be contacted via the church office.
