Women@St John’s

The Women’s Team organise lot’s of opportunities for women to meet together. There are Women’s BreakfastsEvening WalksQuiz nights and other social events also enable women to have a break from the normal routine and develop friendships within the community. There are regular opportunities for meeting together to study the Bible and to be encouraged by hearing how others have overcome difficulties and gain support and strength from one another through our Testimony Evenings.

The Women’s Conference held on 15 September was enjoyed by all the women who came along. Our speaker was Christine Perkin, who is an associate pastor and leads alongside her husband, Paul, at St Mark’s Battersea in London, and the daughter of one of our church members! Christine talked about three women in the Bible who had encounters with Jesus and encouraged us in our own relationship with Him. There were seminars on friendship, family life and prayer, as well as lots of time for sharing, chatting, eating and drinking coffee!

On Saturday 16 March we had another wonderful Women’s Conference with speaker Christine Perkin on the theme ‘Matters of the Heart’ with talks based on Psalms and a choice of seminars.

Recordings of the two talks given at the 2019 Conference are available to listen to here, along with the seminar given by Christine:
