Salisbury Diocesan Evangelical Fellowship (SDEF)

at St Francis Church, Salisbury, starting at 10am Revd Johnny Juckes, President of Oak Hill Theological College, will speak on ‘The Challenge of Teaching Heaven and Hell in the 21st Century’. Whatever we think about heaven and hell it remains an important topic to consider - how do we tackle these issues in our teaching…

Bereavement Service

A service in the Conservatory at 3pm to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones who have died. The service will include music, prayer and God’s word. Everyone is most welcome. An afternoon tea will follow the service.

Mince Pies for Christmas

If you would like to help make mince pies for Christmas then come along to the Conservatory from 7pm, all are welcome - women and men! All ingredients will be provided, bring your own equipment. Please contact Ruth on 01202 880827 if you would like to come.

Welcome Tea for new members

All new members of St John’s are welcome to a tea in the Conservatory from 4.30-5.30pm, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about St John’s and meet members of the church and the staff team. Children are welcome.


All are welcome to come to a talk on ‘Wonderful Water Gardens’ (a change to the published programme) and then enjoy tea and fellowship.

Church Walk

Our walk this month is a short (3 mile) walk along the River Stour near Muscliffe, along flat, but possibly muddy, paths. Homemade cake afterwards if you do all the walk!. Hope you can join us. RSVP to Hilary Paton on 01202 849443 or hilary-paton@hotmail.co.uk. We meet outside St John's at 1.25pm.

Real Life Course

A course for those who want to explore the Christian faith. The course is running on Monday evenings from 11 November - 16 December. At each session there will be dinner followed by a discussion based on John’s Gospel, an account of Jesus’ life - where any questions can be asked - no question too…

An evening with Dr Geoff Barnard

7.15pm for 7.30pm on Wednesday 6 November Geoff lives with his wife Caryl in Arad, Israel. He has been involved in scientific research all his working life and is an excellent Bible teacher. Please do come to meet him in the Youth Lounge for an informal Q&A session. Further details from Jeremy Hett, 01202 886138.

Women's Book Group

The group are reading the book ‘Enjoying God’ by Tim Chester. This month we are discussing chapter 2 of the book. All ladies are most welcome, even if you missed the first session in September. We meet at 7.30pm in the Conservatory.  

Family Quiz Night

This event has been cancelled. A new date will be arranged for spring 2020.
