Prayer for Help, Hope & Healing

During our 6:30pm service there will be an opportunity to ask for prayers for healing - either for yourself or as a proxy for someone else. In a time of prayer we ask that the healing power of the Holy Spirit may come and bring wholeness into our broken lives.

Prayer Gathering

All are welcome to come to the next St John’s Prayer Gathering, in the Conservatory at 8pm. Contact the Church Office for more information.

Men's Breakfast

All men are welcome to enjoy a full-English breakfast at St John’s, where James Menzies from Portland Parish will talk about his life and faith. The cost is £3, payable on the day.


TABS (Tandoori and Beer Society) All men are welcome to a curry night at Rimjhim, West Street, Wimborne. The cost is £15 per head. Optional drinks from 7.15pm at the King's Head. More details from Phil Jones (07966 456974).  

Welcome Tea for new members

All new members of St John’s are welcome to a tea in the Conservatory from 4.30-5.30pm, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about St John’s and meet members of the church and the staff team. Children are welcome.


All are welcome to come at 2.30pm to hear a talk about regency life and then enjoy tea and fellowship. This event is now cancelled.

Mother's Day

Come and celebrate Mother's Day with us Join us at St John's on Mother's Day, Sunday 22 March, for a Celebration Service for all ages at 10.30am All ladies will be given flowers and a chocolate! There will be a DIY Creche for parents of little ones to use if needed.

Church Walk

You are warmly invited to a church walk around the RSPB Arne nature reserve, with wonderful views of Poole Bay. We will end with tea at the café/shop. There is a charge of £5 in the car park, but free for RSPB and caravan club members, please bring appropriate cards. Please meet at the Church.…

Women's Book Group

The group are reading the book ‘Enjoying God’ by Tim Chester. This month we are discussing chapters 8 and 9 of the book. All ladies are most welcome, even if you missed the previous sessions. We meet at 7.30pm in the Conservatory.  

Family Quiz Night

All are welcome to a quiz night from 6.45- 9.15pm to support Zaelyn School in Kibera, Nairobi. Come as a team of up to 6 or join a team when you arrive. Drinks and snacks will be served.  

Beth Moore Course

A 10 session Bible Study (plus DVD teaching) began on 28 January and continues fortnightly in the Youth Lounge. The studies are based on Isaiah 43:10 that explores what it means not only ‘to believe in God’ but ‘to believe Him.’ Through studying the lives of Abraham, Moses, and others from Hebrews 11 as examples…

Women's Craft and Cake Afternoon

All ladies are welcome to drop-in between 2 & 5pm to the Conservatory for a relaxed afternoon of crafts, sharing your own craft or learning a new one. Tea and cakes will be served of course!
